ACE Inhibitor

Definition: An ACE inhibitor is a drug that makes your heart work easier by blocking chemicals that constrict blood vessels. This class of medications is used to treat high blood pressure, coronary artery disease and heart failure, and to help to prevent kidney damage in people with diabetes.
